- CAASPP (California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress) - Gr. 3-8, 11 The California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP), includes computer-adaptive tests in English/Language Arts (ELA) and Mathematics. Grades 3-8 and 11 will take the CAASPP test in April and/or May each year. To learn about the types of questions on the computer-based test, you and your child can view the practice test online. The California Science Test (CAST) is an online assessment based on the California Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS). These tests are administered in a supportive and positive testing environment at all sites in April and/or May. Grades 5 and 8 will take the CAST test.
