The District Advisory Council (DAC) is a committee of parents, students, community representatives, teachers, principals, and other district staff. Members are elected to the DAC by each sites’ School Site Council (SSC). It is important that DAC representatives take the information back to their site’s SSC, so they are informed. The mission of the DAC is to promote excellence in education for all students through broad-based community representation. Adelanto Elementary School District is required to have a School Site Council (SSC) and District Advisory Council (DAC) because the District receives Federal funds.
