Hello Theodore Vick Elementary School Family,
Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year! My name is Mr. Matthew LaTomme. I am the new Assistant Principal of Academic Instruction (APAI) at Ted Vick. This year starts my 27th year in the education field. I have served in the Adelanto Elementary School District for 23 years and in the Chino Valley Unified School District for 4 years. I have taught grades 1st through 8th in my career and this is my 2nd year in administration. Previously, I was the assistant principal at Eagle Ranch Elementary School. I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from Brigham Young University, and a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from Cal-State University San Bernardino.
Our children have a bright future ahead of them. Through hard work, teamwork, strong school, and home and community connection, our children will be able to achieve their best.
I firmly believe that as we strive to achieve academic excellence and student wellness through multi-tiered systems of support, the strengthening of professional practices, and enhancing student and parent engagement opportunities, our school will reach new heights of excellence. We have a wonderful, dedicated staff that is willing to go the extra mile to address the needs of your whole child.
